Mr. McAdams was born on March 7, 1940 in Dew and married Joy Montgomery on Sept. 14, 1963. Working as a pipeliner he traveled across the US and to several foreign countries. Mr. McAdams was a member of Boggy Maonsic Lodge No.739 and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and his two red heelers. Services were at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 25 with Steve Cowart officiating. Burial was at Dew Cemetery with Masonic graveside rites. He is survived by his wife, Joy McAdams; son, Tony McAdams and wife Angie of Teague; two grandchildren, Ty and Laney McAdams of Teague; three sisters, Esther Jo Downey of Dew, Clara Beth Norton of Mexia and Mary Carol Christall and husband Bobby of Dew; and brother, Emory (Bub) McAdams and wife Ruth of Teague. Mr. McAdams was preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie Jasper and Lanie Mildred McAdams; brother-in-law, Junior (Bugs) Norton; nephew, Loyd Downey; mother-in-law, Mary Price; and aunt, Sue Campbell. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to M.D. Anderson Hospital in Houston for cancer research. Arrangements were made by Bowers Funeral Home of Teague. ======================================================= Teague Chronicle September 27, 2007 edition RONNIE MCADAMS Funeral services for Mr. Ronnie McAdams, 67, were held on Tuesday, September 25, 2007, at Eighth Avenue Baptist Church. Bro. Steve Cowart officiated and interment followed the service at Dew Cemetery with Masonic Graveside Rites. Mr. McAdams passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2007, at his residence in Teague. He was born in Dew, Texas and attended Dew School. He was a pipeliner all his working life and traveled to several countries and all over the United States with his work. He worked for several different companies during his career. He married Joy Montgomery on September 14, 1963, and shared forty-four years together. Mr. McAdams enjoyed farming and ranching, watching NASSCAR, and spending time with his grandkids. He especially enjoyed watching Laney dance and play basketball and to watch Ty with his shooting sports. He was very fond of his two red heeler dogs, Laney and Gracie. Mr. McAdams was a member of Boggy Masonic Lodge #739 in Teague. He is survived by his wife Joy McAdams, his son Tony McAdams and wife Angie, his grandchildren Ty and Laney McAdams all of Teague; his sisters Esther Jo Downey of Dew, Clara Beth Norton of Mexia and Mary Carol Christall and husband Bobby of Dew; his brother Emory (Bub) McAdams and wife Ruth of Teague, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Johnnie Jasper and Lanie Mildred McAdams; his brother-in-law, Junior (Bugs) Norton, his nephew Lloyd Downey, his mother- in-law Mary Price and his aunt Sue Campbell.
