No services are planned for Karin Renate McAlsiter, 71, of The Colony, 
formerly of Freestone county, who died Friday in Lewisville.

Mrs. McAlister was born March 22, 1940 in Halle, Germany.

She came to America where she met William McAlister in Abilene and the two 
were married on June 6, 1959.

Mrs. McAlister earned a master’s degree in English and taught for many years.

She and her husband were Freestone county residents from 1989 to 2005.

Mrs. McAlister was preceded in death by her husband in March of 2005.

She is survived by her son, James McAlister of Frisco.
