Freestone County, Texas Obituaries The Fairfield Recorder July 06, 2007 William Ferrell McAnulty Funeral services were held Monday, July 2 in Fort Worth for William Ferrell McAnulty, 86, of Streetman who died Thursday, June 28 at his home. Mr. McAnulty was born March 21, 1921 in El Dorado, Arkansas. He graduated high school in Sherman, Texas and served as a Corporal in the U.S. Army Signal Corps as an intercept operator during World War II. He attended Texas Christian University before joining Conslidated Vultee. He worked for 35 years in management at Corvair, General Dynamics and Lockheed- Martin. After retirement, he moved with his wife, Lou McAnulty, to Streetman, where they lived for 17 years. They helped found the Lakeside Methodist Church, and today is honored on a plaque dedicated to "The Faithful Five," which represents the five individuals who were founding members. In addition, he was a founding member of the Lakeside Volunteer Fire Department, and a 52-year member of the Masonic Grand Lodge of Texas. He was an avid Ham radio operator and enjoyed gold, fishing, and playing dominoes. Services were conducted at Greenwood Memorial Cemetery in Fort Worth. Mr. McAnulty is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary Lou Walker McAnulty; a daughter, Lou Ann Miller; a son, William Robert McAnulty; a brother, Chester Kyle McAnulty; sisters Virginia Sue Adney and Mary Ann Kline; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Heart Association.
