Freestone County, Texas Obits Corsicana Daily Sun newspaper - Feb 22, 2004 edition Mary Elizabeth (Chandler) McCann Mary Elizabeth Chandler McCann passed away Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2004, in Germantown, Tenn., Born in Midway, Texas, Oct. 4, 1917, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, A. Morris MCann; brother, Tom S. Chandler; and parents, Henry Grady and Ethel Elizabeth Steele Chandler. She grew up in Navarro County and was a member of Streetman Baptist Church and the Eastern Star. She retired from A&P Tea Company after 27 years. She was loved by her family and is survived by daughters, Elizabeth Ann Phillips, Marcelyn Guinn and Shirley Gee. Also survived by son-in-law, Jerry Gee; and grandchildren, Cheryl Ann Jimeson and husband Bo Jimeson, Mark Phillips, Shelley Guinn, Kevin Gee, Justin Gee and Rick Guinn. Great- grandchildren are Bailee Elizabeth Jimeson and Annalee Jordan Jimeson. Other survivors are sister-in-law, Sarah Chandler; nephews, Ronnie Chandler, Lyle Chandler, Esco McCann, Ray McCann, Jack McCann, Paul McCann, Gene McCann; and nieces, Linda Harrison and Betty Goodin. Visitation with the family will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Corley Funeral Home. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Corley Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Grayson Glass presiding. Interment will follow at Birdston Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mark Phillips, Kevin Gee, Justin Gee, Lyle Chandler, Bo Jimeson and Ray McCann. Honorary pallbearers will be Esco McCann, Buddy Rash, Rick Guinn, Jack McCann, Paul McCann, Gene McCann, Ronnie Chandler, Harry Steele, Joel Steele, Storey Steele, Richard Steele, Kenneth Steele and Roger Steele.
