Eldon A.B. McClaran
June 23, 1923 - May 13, 2005

Eldon A.B. McClaran, 81, of Marquez passed away May 13, 2005 at Parkview
Regional Jospital in Mexia, Texas. He was born June 23, 1923 in Personville,
Texas. He lived in Texas City, Texas for 35 years before retiring and moving to
Marquez, Texas where he resided for 22 years.

Mr. McClaran is survived by his sons Bill McClaran of Marquez, Texas and Eldon
McClaran of Parkdale, Oregon; granddaughters Leslie Lawson of Texas City, Texas
and Tara McClaran of Houston, Texas; great-granddaughters Ashley Stewart and
Sarah Lawson of Texas City, Texas; sister Shug Lloyd of Mexia, Texas;
sisters-in-law Faye McClaran and Deanie Walton of Mexia, Texas; brother-in-law
Milton Lansford of Personville, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is
preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Helen McClaran, son Bobby Joe
McClaran, seven brothers and six sisters.

Family visitation will be Saturday evening 5-7 pm at Porter Funeral Home in
Mexia, Texas. Services will be Sunday, May 15, 2005 at 2:00 pm at Porter Chapel
in Mexia. Interment will be at Salem Cemetery in Freestone County.
