Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Corsicana Daily Sun - Aug 30, 1997 issue Annie Belle (Horton) McConnico Oct 6, 1910 - Aug 27, 1997 Graveside services for Annie Belle Horton McConnico, 86, of Sulphur Springs, formerly of Grand Prairie, will be held today at 2 p.m. in Birdston Cemetery near Streetman, Freestone County. Honorary pallbearers will be the nurses and aides of Hopkins County Memorial Hospital Home Health. Mrs. McConnico died Wednesday at the home of her daughter's family after an extended illness. She was born Oct. 6, 1910, near Streetman, the daughter of William Virgil and Mary Cross Weeks Horton. She married Robert D. "Mike" McConnico on Dec. 25, 1933, in Normangee. He preceded her in death on Jan. 5, 1986. Mrs. McConnico was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church, Sulphur Springs. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ann and Don O'Neal of Sulphur Springs; grandsons, Scott O'Neal and Steven O'Neal; a sister, Rena Kilgore of Baytown; two brothers, O.O. Horton of Baytown and E.F. Horton of La Porte; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son, Robert D. "Bob: McConnico, Jr.; one sister, Virgie Mae Tunks; and four brothers, Bradley Horton, Alton Horton, Doyle Horton, and Joel Horton.
