Died at Wortham

James McCorkle, aged about 78 years, father of our fellow townsman H. T.
McCorkle died of heart trouble Tuesday morning at the home of his daughter,
Mrs. G.W. Bounds at Tehuacana. Funeral services were conducted at Wortham
Baptist Church Tuesday by the Revs. J.C. Williams of Tehuacana, McCullough,
Baptist pastor of Wortham and Sanders of Tehuacana. He was given a Masonic
burial in Wortham cemetery. He is survived by the following children, Mrs. G.W.
Bounds of Tehuacana, Mrs. Chas. Garrison, Mexia, Mrs. Tom Irwin, Mrs. A.H.
Edwards, Mrs. L.D. Bounds, and L.H. McCorkle of Wortham and H.T. McCorkle of
Teague.
