Freestone County, Texas Obituary The Fairfield Recorder newspaper - Obituaries - Thursday January 26, 2006 edition Swanson Bunche McIlveen Swanson Bunche McIlveen of Fairfield died at the age of 56 at Dallas V. A. Medical Center on January 12. Funeral services were held January 18 at Moore's Angelic Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Clifford E. McIlveen of Kainos Community Church in Houston officiating. Interment was at Paradise North Cemetery in Houston. Mr. McIlveen was born on December 28, 1949 at Teague General Hospital. Throughout his life he lived in Fairfield, Madisonville, Bay City and Houston. He was employed by McDonald Douglas Air Craft, Washington D. C.; the NASA Space Center in Houston and taught in the Wyndam School District. Mr. McIlveen was a member of Charity Baptist Church in Houston, an avid reader well versed in biblical history and loved sports. He was also honorably discharged from the U. S. Air Force after serving a tour of duty overseas and in the United States. Surviving Mr. McIlveen are his sisters Marcia McIlveen Booker of Dallas and Ruth McIlveen Sykes of Houston; brother Frederick W. McIlveen of Copperas Cove and aunts Mrs. Minnie Ola Jones of Dallas, Mrs. Loree Houston and Mrs. Iley Pearl Warner both of Houston. He is also survived by five nieces, one nephew and a host of other relatives and friends. Pallbearers were J. B. Jones, Clois Cox, Nathan Jones, Harold Jordan, Roy Andy, Dr. Garland McIlveen, Gerald Booker, Willie Jordan, Earnest Jordan, James Griffin, Vergil Keeton, Bernard Gillespie, Lovie Gillespie, Cary McIlveen and John Jordan. Arrangements were by Moore's Angelic Funeral Home in Teague.
