The Teague Chronicle - Oct. 18, 1918 edition Miss Vesta Clyde McKennon, age 8 years and 5 months, a daughter of Mr. & Mrs. C. A. McKennon died yesterday morning at 1:15 oclock of pneumonia which followed Spanish influenza. She came home from school last Fri. afternoon feeling ill . Their physician diagnosed a case of fluenza. Sat. night it developed into pneumonia and she gradually sank until the end came. Funeral services were conducted at the residence yesterday afternoon at 4:30 and burial was in the city cemetery. This is the third death in Teague this week as the result of the influenza epidemic and its complications.
