Automobile Crash Kills Woman Near Corsicana 
CORSICANA, Texas, May 10. - Mrs. Vera McKissack, 33, of Corsicana, died in a 
hospital Sunday of injuries received an hour earlier in an automobile accident
one mile south of Rice. Her death was the fourth automobile fatality in 
Navarro County for 1936. Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 
Streetman. Other occupants of the car escaped serious injuries. The car is 
reported to have struck a soft shoulder on the highway and turned over.

Surviving are her husband, Gilbert McKissack, of Corsicana, and her mother,
Mrs. J. A. Thompson of Streetman.
