Helen Cicele Mattes McClaran

Helen Cicele Mattes McClaran, age 78, of Marquez, Texas, died on July 25, 2004
at the St. Joseph Regional Rehabilitation Center in Bryan.

Funeral services will be on Wednesday, July 28, 2004 at 11 a.m. at the Porter
Chapel in Mexia. Rev. Billy Evans and Rev. Jerry Fulton will officiate with
interment in the Salem Cemetery in Freestone County, Texas.

Mrs. McClaran had lived in Texas City, Texas for 35 years before retiring and
moving to Marquez, Texas where she has resided for 21 years. She was a member
of Marquez Baptist Church, and was a homemaker

Family visitation is today (Tuesday) evening 6-8 p.m. at the Porter Funeral
Home in Mexia.

Mrs. McClaran is survived by her husband, A. B. McClaran, of Marquez, Texas;
sons, Bill McClaran of Marquez and Eldon McClaran of Parkdale, Oregon; a
brother, Frank Mattes of Santa Fe, Texas; granddaughters, Leslie Lawson of
Texas City, Texas and Tara McClaran of Houston, Texas; great granddaughters,
Ashley Stewart and Sarah Lawson, both of Texas City, Texas; numerous nieces and
nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Bobby Joe McClaran.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Porter Funeral Home in Mexia.
