McLeod Minnie Eula McLeod, 78, of Fairfield, passed away at Fairview Manor Nursing Home, August 21, 1982. She was born July 16, 1904. She is survived by her daughter Willie Rae Gagnon, of Garland Texas; five sons: George McLeod, Dallas, S.D. McLeod, Arlington, Jim McLeod, Oklahoma City, OK., Hugh McLeod, Arlington and Don MeLeod of Dallas; one sister, Winnie Mae Warnell, Houston; and two brothers, J. B. Scott, Fairfield, Mike Scott, Albuquerque. N.M.; a number of nieces and nephews. Her husband, Willis Ruth McLeod preceded her in death Dec. 7, 1961. The Pallbearers were: Danny Robertson, Jim Orand, Robert Mortimer, Jr., Glenn White side, Jerry Robinson, and Randall Whitaker. Funeral services were held at Capps Memorial Chapel. Notes: Corrections to names were made as follows: S.D. not S.B. McLeod and George McLeod, not McLeon. Minnie Eula Scott McLeod was the daughter of James Nathaniel Scott (1868-1933) and Virginia Brown Carroll (18 72-1956). Virginia Brown Carro!! is the only child of David V Carroll (1841-1906) and Emma B Clark Carroll (1850-1915). Minnie E. Scott McLeod is buried in the Fairfield Cemetery beside her husband Willis Ruth McLeod, DVM (1894-1961). Her parents and grandparents are buried in Driver Cemetery, Freestone County. In the newspaper article on the wedding of R. M Edwards and Addle Miller Edwards gifts mentioned were from Emma Carroll and Virginia B.
