McMullen Rites Set for Sunday 

Walter James McMullen, 56, of New York, N.Y., died Dec. 5 in New York. Funeral 
services will be held Sunday at 2 in the Rhode Island United Methodist Church. 
The Rev. D.L. Walker, minister, and the Rev. L.L. Sheffield will officiate. 
Interment will be in Rhode Island Cemetery in Freestone County. Born Aug. 10, 
1918 in Freestone County, of which he was a lifelong resident, Mr. McMullen was 
a member of the Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Earline 
McMullen of Tulsa, Okla.; one daughter, Mrs. Arthrine Wedlow of. Tulsa, Okla.; 
one son, Walter McMullen of Tulsa, Okla.; his mother, Mrs. Annie McMullen of 
Streetman; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Lee Bevins of Dallas and Mrs. Erneta Bradley 
of Corsicana; one brother, J.T. McMullen of Dallas; and one grandchild. Dorsey-
Keatts Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
