Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Teague Chroncile - Sept. 13, 2012 issue Bruce McWilliams The Angelic Hosts came for Bruce McWilliams after a brief stay in the Teague Nursing Home among loving family and devoted friends. Viewing will begin Saturday, September 8, 2012 at 10:00 AM and the visitation will be from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM at the Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Sunday, September 9, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the First Baptist Church North Teague with the pastor, Rev. Larry Rose as the Eulogist and Rev. E. J. Malone of Ft. Worth officiating. Interment will be in the Antioch Cemetery, North 1st Street in Teague. Bruce McWilliams was the 6th of eight children born to Jessie Hudson and Nannie Pearl Allen and was born in Teague, Texas. He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized in the Antioch Primitive Baptist Church in Teague. At the time of his death, he was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church North Teague under the leadership of Pastor Larry Rose, Jr. He grew up in Teague and attended the Booker T. Washington High School. Bruce served in the Texas National Guard for a number of years. His career led him into the areas of carpentry, plumbing, electrician and other areas of construction. Bruce enjoyed cooking, playing dominoes, and fervent prayer. He will be remembered for being a man that truly loved the Lord, and his life was a living testimony to the Glory of God. He was preceded in death by: his parents; his brother: Joseph Edison McWilliams; nephew: Toi Douglas Carter; and Great-nephew: Fredric Carter Those who will cherish his memory: 2 Brothers: Douglas Allen and wife, Albertha of Orlando, Florida; Roy Lee Allen and wife, Evelyn of Layton, Utah; 4 Sisters: Ardella West and husband, Willie, of Teague; Dorothy Wells of Dumfries, Virginia; Ginger Richard, Teague; Celestine Marie Brooks, Mexia, TX; Special Friend: Sheran Brown, Teague; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
