Medaris The subject of this sketch, who died at his home at Young, Sept. 12, 1907, was born Feb. 22, 1835, in Tennessee. He served throughout the war in the ranks of the Confederate Army. Just after the surrender he came to Freestone county, and lived here up to his death. He leaves a wife to mourn him. Mr. Medaris was a man highly respected by all who knew him, and loved by his neighbors. He was a member of the Fairfield Masonic Lodge, and was a zealous member.
