Norida Keils Meredith
Funeral services for Mrs. Norida Meredith were held October 28, 2007 at 2:00 
p.m. at Bowers Funeral Home. Interment followed the service at Pilgrim Cemetery 
near Elkhart. Rev. John (Hoppy) McGilvary officiated. Mrs. Meredith passed away
October 25, 2007 at Fairfield, Texas. She was born December 7, 1928 to William 
Arthur Sr. and Nora Robinson Keils in Teague, Texas. She was a member of the 
First United Methodist Church, graduated from Teague High School in 1946 and 
from Sam Houston State Teachers College in 1950 and married Jack Meredith on 
May 30, 1950. She taught in the TISD and loved painting. Mrs. Meredith is 
survived by her husband, Jack Meredith of Teague, son, Keith Meredith & wife 
Penny, grandchildren, Collin Puckett & Keil Meredith of Fairfield, sister-in-law,
Mavis Keils of Dallas, nieces; Kay Keils Poynor & husband Wes of Richmond, VA., 
Kathy Keils of Austin & Karol Keils Harrison & husband Jim of Dallas, cousins; 
Larry Keils of Ft. Worth, Terry Keils of Crowley, Susan Carpenter of Crowley & 
Allie Jo Tolar of Keechi. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Cynthia Lee 
Meredith, parents, Mr. & Mrs. W.A. Keils Sr. and brother, W.A. Keils Jr.
