Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Trinity Baptist Church with the Rev. James Sliger, Rev. Rob Merriman, and Rev. Everet Hodge officiating. Pallbearers will be Tobey Clements, Doyle Parker, Jim Minick, Daniel Torti, Greg McDonald and Steve Denard. Honorary pallbearers will be Dave Alexander and Lee Hodge. He was preceded in death by brothers, Roy Merriman and James Merriman; and sister, Leora Bell. Rev. Merriman is survived by his wife, Roma Merriman of Teague; son, Gerome Merriman of Arlington; brother, Gene Merriman of Tyler; sisters, Gladys Sliger and Mable McLemore, both of Knoxville, Tenn.; granddaughters, Amber Torti and Erin Merriman, both of Arlington; grandsons, Bryan Merriman and Nathan Merriman, both of Arlington; great-grandsons, Corbyn and Trevor Torti, both of Arlington; nieces, Mica McDonald of Keller, Kim Davidson of Eagle Nest, N.M., and Debby Elebralht of Kansas; and nephew, Rob Merriman of Shelbyville, Tenn.
