Mitch Michaud I

Mitch Michaud I, a resident of Teague, died at the age of 75 on January 29 in
his home.  Private funeral services are planned for a later date.

Mr. Michaud was born on May 9, 1930 to Romeo G. Michaud and Selina Oueletta in
Presque Isle, Maine. He moved to Texas in 1962 and then to Teague in 1968. Mr.
Michaud was a crane operator, working for various construction companies and
traveled around to job sites frequently. He went to work for the City of Teague
in the early 1990's where he was presently employed. Mr. Michaud also served in
the army during the Korean War and was stationed in Korea. He was a member of
St. Mary's Catholic Church and a lifetime member of the VFW Post No. 489 in
Biddeford, Maine. He married Marilyn Witham on February 17, 1962. They were
together for 44 years. 

Mr. Michaud is survived by his wife Marilyn Michaud of Teague; son Mitch
Michaud II of Teague; grandson Dylan Michaud of Buffalo; sisters Rita Petit and
Rilla Ryan of Biddeford, Maine and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to Relay For Life. Arrangements were
by Ricks-Bowers Funeral Home in Teague.
