Freestone County, Texas Obituaries [Source: Linda Mullen] Fairfield Recorder - June 4, 1915 edition Death of Mr. A. T. Miles Mr. A. T. Miles died at his home in Fairfield, Thursday evening, May 27, and his remains were interred in the Day Graveyard, several miles east of Fairfield, the following day. Mr. Miles had been a sufferer for quite a while with cancer, which caused his death. Mr. Miles moved to Fairfield from near Blunt a few years ago. He was 70 years of age and had been a citizen of the county so long he was termed an old citizen. He had the respect of all who knew him. He was of a quiet disposition, and honorable in his dealings with his fellowman. His wife died only a few months ago, and he leaves to mourn his death three sons, Jim and Albert, of Fairfield, and Edgar, who lives at Blunt, near the old home. Mr. Miles' sister, Mrs. Moncrief of Powell, arrived in time to attend the burial.
