H. MILLER Mr. W. H. MILLER was born Aug. 2, 1864 in Marshall Texas and died at his home in Fairfield on the 29th day of Oct. 1925 being 61 years 2 months and 27 days old. Funeral services were held in the Methodist Church Rev. JOINER, Presbyterian Pastor at Wortham officiating. The masons then took charge and his body was buried in the Fairfield Cemetery with masonic honors. Surrounded by a great crowd of friends from different parts of Freestone County and other parts of the state. He and Mrs. Mary SANDIFER, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. L. G. SANDIFER were married on the 27th day of Feb. 1888. To this union were born two children, Mrs. Elouise LINDLEY, who is now the wife of Tom LINDLEY, ex County Clerk and Miss Viola MILLER. His wife and two children survive him. Will MILLER, as his friends commonly called him, at all times took an active intrest in public affairs. He stood for the up building of our county, he labored for the public good, he was a man of fine business ability, and being courteous and abliging he had many friends. Regret and unfeigned sorrow were in many hearts when it was learned that the death angel had called him hence. I did not know what his church affliations were, I never heard him discuss that matter. I do know what he thought about that other sphere where the flowers of love and joy bloomed in eternal spring and the beauty and glory which is never marred by the ravages of sorrow and death. I never talked with him about that but I do know that he loved his fellow man, that he had a big brain, a big heart and a generous soul and his friendship was pure gold. He was a friend of humanity. I see from my house by the side of the road By the side of the Highway of life The men that press on with the ardor of hope And the men that are faint with the strife And I turn not away from their smiles and their tears Both parts of an infinite plan Let me live in a house both side of the road And be a friend to man We are frail, our troubled minds grow week and a recoil when we under take to grasp the mysteries of eternity, but this we know, the love of god is boundless. The mercy of god surpasses human understanding and is everlasting. He that cometh unto me I will in no wise cast out. We can not judge, blessed, thrice blessed be our friend in final home.
