Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Fairfield Recorder newspaper March 2008 Geraldine "Jerry" (Bagwill) Hensley Miller Teague resident, Geraldine "Jerry" Miller, died Wednesday, March 12, at the age of 88. Mrs. Miller was born in Princeton on July 15, 1919, to parents Elmer and Susan Elizabeth Bagwill. Following her mother's death in 1928, she was adopted by Grady and Leona Jones. Mrs. Miller lived in Fort Worth, Woodville, and Winters before moving to Teague where she attended Eighth Avenue Baptist Church. No services are currently planned. Mrs. Miller is survived by daughters Darla Schwartz and husband Mike of Teague and Linda Hughes of Arlington; son Wayne Hensley and wife Glenna of Teague; grandchildren Jason Graves and wife Leslie of Waco, Dacia Reyes and husband Richard of Murphy, Allen Hensley and wife Cindy of Waco, and Shelly Hensley of Waco; great grandchildren Taylor and Braden Graves, Courtney, Julia, and Sophie Reyes, and David Allen, Michelle, and Katlin Hensley; and brother Paul Bagwill of Princeton. She was preceded in death by parents Elmer and Susan Elizabeth Bagwill; brothers Joseph and Johnnie Ray; son Jim Hensley; first husband L.L. Hensley; and second husband Clay Miller. She was born on July 15, 1919, in Princeton, Texas to Susan Elizabeth and Elmer A. Bagwill. After the death of her mother in 1928, Grady and Leona Jones adopted her. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Joseph and Johnnie Ray, her son Jim Hensley and her husbands L.L. Hensley and Clay Miller. Her life took her from Ft. Worth to Woodville, Texas. From Woodville to Winters, Texas and ultimately she settled in Teague, Texas. She loved and was loved by many. Those who survive her will miss her, but each will have at least one special memory of a shared time or place or laugh or tear and in that way she will be forever. Mrs. Miller was a Baptist and attended Eighth Avenue Baptist Church in Teague.
