He is the grandson of John Miller (Muller) and Dora Hudgitz (Hudzitz) Miller. Died 6/14/1941] Charles B. Miller June 18, 1941, Dallas, Texas "Funeral Rites Set For C. B. Miller, 70, Gas Firm Worker Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p. m. Wednesday at the Weiland Funeral Church for Charles B. Miller, 70, of 5746 Morningside, long time employee of the Lone Star Gas Company who died Monday in a Plano hospital after a month's illness. A native of Butler, Freestone County, Mr. Miller in his early days worked for various railroads over Texas, fought in the Spanish-American War in the Philippines. In 1905 he married Miss Annie Laura Hammet of Corsicana and in 1914 joined the Magnolia Petroleum Company there. In Dallas Mr. Miller had worked for the Lone Star Gas Company and companies absorbed by that concern since 1920 and at the time of his death he was in the secretary's office. He was a member of the Scofield Memorial Church and was past master of the John G. Slayter Masonic Lodge. Mr. Miller is survived by two daughters, Miss Nancy Miller, at home, and Miss Delphine Miller of Edgar J. Miller of Santa Rosa, Calif. and Cleveland E. Miller of Oakland, Ore. He will be buried at Corsicana."
