Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Fairfield Recorder newspaper January 1, 2009 Dennis "Den-Den" Earl Mims Funeral services were held Saturday for Dennis "Den-Den" Earl Mims, 45, of Mexia who died Friday, Dec. 19, in Waco. Mr. Mims was born the first of four children born to Virgil MacMoore and Thelma Lee Mims on Nov. 4, 1963, in Dallas. He attended school in Fairfield and was a member of Fairfield Baptist Church. Services were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday at True Vine Doxa in Fairfield with Pastor Michael Daniels, Sr. officiating. Interment followed at Post Oak Cemetery with Alex Mims, Lesley Keaton, Tradarian Mims, Joseph Tinsley, Kendrick and Uncle John serving as pallbearers. Mr. Mims is survived by his mother, Thelma Beck of Fairfield; wife, Sheree Carter of Mexia; sons, Brandon and Jeremie Mims, both of Duncanville, and Fred and Trey Carter, both of Mexia; daughter, Allysha Carter of California; sister, Lora Mims of Fairfield; stepbrothers and stepsisters, Bryan, Michael, Wyndel, Sabel, Dianne and Vera; nephews, Alex, Marco, Draylin and Tradarian Mims; and nieces, Tamara, Tammy and Ceclie Mims. He was preceded in death by his father Virgil MacMoore; father, Roy D. Beck; and an infant brother. Arrangements were made by Emanuel Funeral Homes.
