Mary Elizabeth (Donovan) Minchew
 
Mary Minchew, 64, of Fairfield, passed away Friday, October 3, 2014 at her 
residence. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, October 5, 
2014 at Capps Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, 
October 6, 2014 at Calvary Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Antioch 
Cemetery. Mrs. Minchew was born June 2, 1950 in Nacogdoches, Texas to parents 
Pat and Faye Bailey Donovan. She had been a Fairfield resident for over 50 years. 
She married Bill Minchew on February 14, 1969 in Fairfield at Calvary Baptist 
Church. Mary enjoyed sewing, painting, cooking, quilting and other crafts. She 
taught Children’s Church at Calvary Baptist where she was a long time member for 
over 20 years. She was known as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
  
Left to cherish her memory are her husband Bill; parents, Pat and Faye Donovan 
of Fairfield; three children, Laurie Minchew and Jeff Koster of Yankton, SD; 
Julie Minchew and friend Kim Reynolds of Keller; Clint Minchew and wife Neely of 
Fairfield; two grandchildren Jake Jones and Logan Todd; brothers and sisters, 
Patricia Tate and husband Leslie of Fairfield; Sherry Bryant of Tyler; Dan 
Donovan and wife Carol of Dallas; Belinda Colyer of Ft. Worth; Tracy Donovan and 
wife Brenda of Mansfield; Debbie Berger and husband Kevin of Rowlett; numerous 
nieces and nephews.

The family requests memorials to the Building Fund or Kitchen Fund of Calvary 
Baptist Church of Fairfield.
