Freestone County, Texas Obituaries The Fairfield Recorder - Thursday, November 26, 1964 Page: 1 FUNERAL SERVICES HELD SUNDAY FOR WILLIAM MINCHEW Funeral services for William Leroy Minchew of Rt. 3, Teague, were held Sunday at Lakes Chapel Cemetery. The Rev. H. L. McKissack and the Rev. Jack McDaniel officiated at the graveside rites. Mr. Minchew died at Freestone County Hospital Saturday after a long illness. Mr. Minchew, a retied farmer, was the son of the late William T. Minchew and Anthem Orand Michew. He was born in Freestone County on Aug. 21, 1891. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Ruby Minchew; 10 sons, Henry Thomas Minchew, Wiley Dalton Minchew, and David Warren Minchew of Fairfield, Herbert Roy Minchew and Curtis Dan Minchew of Irving, Harold Alton Minchew of Watt, John Edwin Minchew of Mexia, George Kenneth Minchew of Mart, Aubrey Rosser Minchew of Waco, Raymond Cecil Minchew of Dallas; 5 daughers, Mrs. Willie Belle Greening of Teague, Mrs. Maggie Lee Browne of Fairfield, Mrs. Edna Smith of Dallas, Mrs. Mary Alice Teer of Streetman and Mrs. Anne Smith of Mesquite; 44 grandchildren; 5 great- grandchildren; 2 sisters, Mrs. Laura Bell Baker of Grand Prairie, Mrs. Lillian Roberts of Wills Point; 3 brothers, Valentine Minchew of Mesquite, Jewell Minchew of Fiarifeld, and Elbert Minchew of Dallas; and a number of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Robert Speed, Paul Speed, Edgar Terry, Odell Ray, Clint Mullen, and Eston Turner. Capps Funeral Directors were in charge of arrangements.
