Mrs. Missildine was born in Bowling Green, Kentucky on Dec. 11, 1933 to Tracy Newton and Ella Edna Martin Douglas. She retired from Palestine Independent School District where she worked in the cafeteria and was a member of Palestine's Dogwood Hills Baptist Church. Services were held at Lake Chapel Cemetery in Fairfield on Monday, May 4, with Revs. Charles Grasty and Kevin Willmott officiating. Serving as pallbearers were David Oliver, Justin Harrison, Matt Stroud, Carl Lee Roberts, Cody Roberts, Illya Ignatenko and David Todey. Honorary pallbearers included Darrell Ivison, Don Missildine, Lee Missildine, Mike Gaines, Kenneth Dickson, Brince Dickson, Michael Knight and David Lawler. Mrs. Missildine is survived by her husband, Deryl Missildine of Palestine; daughters, Sarah Harrison and husband Billy of Palestine, Deanne Green and husband Bill of Flint, Jamie Darlene Oliver of Palestine, Jill Ivison and husband Darrell of Wylie; sons, Jimmy Oliver and wife Celeste of Neches, John Missildine and wife Kristin of Fairfield, and Don Missildine of Fort Worth; Sisters, Edna Mae Booth of Hobbs, New Mexico, Joe Ann Lawler of Palestine, and Tracine Duran of Cortez, Colorado; brother, William Earl Smith of Palestine; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, David Raul Oliver and Kevin Missildine; and sister, Nellie June Fisher. Funeral arrangements were made under the direction of Bailey and Foster Funeral Home of Palestine.
