Funeral: 11 a.m. Thursday at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel. Burial: Shannon Rose Hill Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel. Jess was born at home in the area of Ward's Prairie, Freestone County, to Jess and Mary Christianne Moore. He enjoyed golfing, photography, fishing and dancing. Jess served our country in World War II and the Korean and Vietnam wars. He received a Bronze Star for service in Thailand during the Vietnam War. He was a system programmer with the North American Air Defense Command. He also served as a Texas Ranger for Great Southwest Airport and retired from the city of Fort Worth as a warrant officer. Survivors: Wife, Robbie Madge Moore; daughters, Sue Roberts and husband, Don, and Karen Frank and husband, Bob; son, Jimmy S.
