Moore, 42, of Streetman were held Tuesday at Herrington/ Land of Memory Chapel in Palestine with the Rev. Doug Blanton officiating. Burial followed at Roselawn Cemetery under the direction of Herrington/Land of Memory Funeral Home. Mr. Moore died Saturday in Leon County. Memorials may be made to the Yancey Moore Memorial Fund at Wells Fargo Bank in Fairfield. ================================================================= The Fairfield Recorder - September 17, 2009 edition Yancey Moore Funeral services were Tuesday for Yancey Moore, 42, of Streetman, who died Sept. 12. Doug Blanton officiated at the service, held at Herrington Land of Memory Funeral Home in Palestine. Interment was at Roselawn Cemetery. Mr. Moore was born April 20, 1967 in West Monroe, La. He was employed at the XTO Energy BOA plant since 2005 and previously worked at Lyondell Chemical in Channelview for 13 years. He enjoyed spending summers at Garner State Park, hunting, fishing and taking his kids on horseback rides. Mr. Moore coached girls' softball and boys' baseball for Fairfield Baseball Association and enjoyed helping at the baseball fields as often as possible. He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Laura Moore, daughter Emilee, sons Cody Smith, and Ethan and Carson Moore, father Don Moore and wife Carol, mother Evelyn Rinehart and husband Rickey; Father-in-law Joe Watlington and wife Betty, sister Bridgett Lunsford and husband Mark, brother-in-law Jody Watlington and wife Lisa, sister-in-law Tamara Sellers and husband Rod and numerous family and friends. He is preceded in death by his sister-in-law Maria Buschardt, mother-in-law Judy Watlington, stepmother in-law Deanne Watlington, and his grandparents. Memorials can be made to the Yancey Moore Children's Fund at Wells Fargo Bank in Fairfield. ==================================================================== Fairfield man killed in wreck A 42-year-old man from Streetman, Yancey Moore, died Saturday morning in a 1-vehicle wreck on U.S. 79 south of Jewett. Moore was believed to be on his way to work at the XTO Energy BOA facility near Jewett when the wreck occurred about 4:15 a.m. Department of Public Safety Trooper Mike Asby reports that the 42-year-old was driving south on U.S. 79 in a 2006 Ford F350 pickup truck when he failed to negotiate curve in the highway. The road was wet at the time of the wreck, Asby's accident report shows. The pickup slid off the road and hit a tree broadside. Moore, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from his vehicle, the trooper reports. Peace Justice Lori Reed, Leon county precinct one, pronounced the Streetman resident dead at the scene at 5:25 a.m. Moore was a native of West Monroe, La., and had been employed by XTO for eight years. The 42-year-old coached softball and baseball in Fairfield Baseball Association and often volunteered to work at the baseball fields. He is survived by is wife of 18 years, Laura; a daughter, Emilee; and three sons, Cody Smith and Ethan and Carson Moore. Funeral services were held Tuesday at Herrington/Land of Memory Funeral Home in Palestine. Burial was at Roselawn Cemetery.
