Mullen, 76, of Fairfield, died Sunday, November 1, 2009 in Fairfield. Services were 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 4 at Round Prairie Baptist Church with Bro. Ed Ridge officiating. Interment followed at Antioch Cemetery. Visitation was Tuesday at Capps Memorial Chapel. Mr. Mullen was born April 5, 1933 in Freestone County to parents Clinton and Lucy Moore Mullen. He was retired from the Texas Highway Department but also farmed, ranched and was a rodeo pick up man for many years and known for his love of the outdoors. He was a member of Round Prairie Baptist Church. Survivors are his wife Winnie Louise of Fairfield; three sons, Kenneth Mullen and wife Sandy of Kerens, Terry Mullen and wife Chris of Fairfield, and Todd Mullen; two brothers, Deward Mullen of Frankston and Clois Mullen of Fairfield; three sisters, Nova Flowers of Fairfield, Ada Baker of Fairfield, and Mary Estes of Crandall; seven grandchildren, Latasha Soileau, Kaell Mullen, Austin Mullen, Allen Coker, Calley Tapley, Casey Tapley, and Angie Powell; seven greatgrandchildren, Jaden Mullen, Abbie Soileau, Michael DeMoss, Alyssa Jones, Aryana Washington, Hayden Sikes, and Isabella Sikes. Pallbearers were John Fryer, Sid Fryer, Clint Fryer, Clark Fryer, Hubie Fryer, and Jeff Fryer.
