Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Kenneth Wayne Mullen Kenneth Wayne Mullen, 68, of Corsicana, Texas, passed away on August 27, 2022 at UT Health Athens hospital. Kenneth was born on September 1953 to father Bowie Moore Mullen and mother Winnie Louise James in Teague, Texas. During his years in the work force, Kenneth landed a job as a dragline operator for Big Brown Mine in Fairfield, Texas. While working here, Kenneth acquired the nick name “Moon” from his co-workers. Kenneth married Tammy Holiman and they had two sons, Kaell Wayne Mullen and Austin Moore Mullen. Kenneth was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life they deserved. He always did his best to support them. Later in life Kenneth began working for the County of Navarro at Pct#2 as a machine operator and retired in 2017. In December 2006, Tammy left to be with the Lord. Kenneth remarried to Sandy Mullen. Kenneth gained a step-daughter, Robin Hoover and a grand-daughter, Aryana Washington. In August 2016, Sandy left to be with the Lord. Kenneth then met Devon in 2015. They spent 7 wonderful years together. Kenneth was passionate for hunting and fishing and could often be found at “the bottom” when he wasn’t at home. His passion is carried on through his sons and grandsons. Anyone who knew Kenneth knew that he was strong willed and the most loving father, grandfather, and husband a family could ask for. We encourage any and all who knew Kenneth to remember the wonderful memories made with him. Kenneth was predeceased by his father, Bowie, and mother, Louise. Kenneth is survived by loving partner Devon, his sons Kaell and Austin, grandchildren Jaden Cole Mullen son of Kaell Mullen, Layton Moore Mullen and Rhett Alan Shoffit sons of Austin Mullen, and brothers Terry and Todd. The family requests no flowers be sent. If anyone would like to send something please send plants.
