Freestone County, Texas Obituaries The Fairfield Recorder June 2008 Howard Denson Munday, Jr. Funeral services were held this week for Howard Denson Munday, Jr., 77, of Buffalo who died Saturday, June 14, in Tyler. Mr. Munday was born in Houston on Jan. 5, 1931, to Howard Denson, Sr. and Sophi Elizabeth Munday He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War and worked as a draftsman with Houston Light and Power. Mr. Munday was a member of Stewart Memorial United Methodist Church in Buffalo and the Buffalo Masonic Lodge. He also served on the Board of Directors for Citizens State Bank in Buffalo. Services were conducted at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday at Stewart Memorial United Methodist Church with Rev. Milton Jordan officiating. Burial followed at Buffalo Cemetery. Mr. Munday is survived by his wife Ida Munday of Buffalo; sons Chris Gore of Wichita Falls and Greg Gore and wife Jeri of Sulphur Springs; daughters Milinda Ellis and husband Billy of Jewett and Sherry Robins and husband Jason of White House; brothers Roy Munday and wife Charlotte of Conroe and Royce McBride and wife Donna of Arizona; sisters June McKinney and husband Don of Buffalo; Kathleen Swanke and husband Wayne of Conroe and Glenda Duellman of Colmesneil; nine grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Arrangements were made by Memorial Funeral Home of Buffalo.
