The Teague Chronicle - Mar. 1, 1918 edition In memory of Marvin Webb On the night of Feb. 18 at the hour of 7:30 the angel of death entered the home of Walton and Vada Webb of Freestone, Texas and carried away their little son, Marvin leaving behind the sorrow and their hearts broken with grief but transplanted the little flower in the garden of paradise there to bloom on until we all meet in the home of the soul. Had the little one lived till June he would have been 5 years old. Though his time seemed short to us his little mission on earth was fulfilled. Now while we are oh so lonely weep not dear parents for he is resting in the arms of Jesus. Dear little Marvin was ill three weeks. Everything that loving hands could do was done but the little heart grew weaker till his little light went out on earth only to shine the brighter in heaven. Besides his weeping parents and one little brother and one little sister he leaves many relatives to mourn for him. But Christ said, suffer little children to come unto me for is such is the kingdom of heaven. The little body was laid to rest in the Union Cemetery. Bro. J.L. Walker conducted the funeral services. Now parents take your eyes off that little grave and raise them up to heaven and there look at your darling in the arms of Jesus and repeat 3 times with me the Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away and blessed is the way of the Lord.
