Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Rolando Olivares Rolando Olivares, 26, of Mexia, passed away September 11, 2013 in Waco, Texas. Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m., Saturday, September 14, 2013 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Mario Rivera officiating. Interment will follow in the Mexia Cemetery. Visitation with the family will begin at 7:00 p.m., Friday at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home. Rolando was born September 30, 1986 in Fairfield, Texas to Jose Olivares, Sr. and Antonita “Tonie” Rivera Contreras. He worked at Cen-Tex for many years. Rolando had a very outgoing personality and was very active in the community. He was loved by all who knew him. Rolando was an active member of Nueva Vida Assembly of God Church. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Manuel Olivares; maternal grandfather, Santiago Rivera; and brother, Joey Olivares. Rolando is survived by his mother and step-father, Antonita “Tonie” and Saul Contreras of Mexia; father, Jose Olivares, Sr. of Mexia; maternal grandmother, Rosalinda Hernandez of Mexia; paternal grandmother, Porforia Olivarez of Alice; sister, Rosemary Olivares and husband, Roy Gowan of Mexia; brother, Joel Olivares and wife, Jessica of Mexia; nieces and nephews, Reyna Olivares, Joey Olivares, Brihanna Olivares, Roy Gowan,III, Janessa Olivares and Rhylin Gowan; a number of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. He will always be in our hearts. Pallbearers will be Joel Olivares, Roy Gowan, II, Manuel Olivares, Jr., Mark Rodriguez, Leo Olivares and Eloy Alviter.
