Mexia Daily News - Mar. 31, 2005 edition K. W. Oliver WORTHAM - K. W. Oliver, 61, of Wortham, died Tuesday in Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center-Waco. He was born Aug. 25, 1943, in Streetman, to Norvel Oliver and Laura Humphrey Oliver, and was a retired employee of TXU. Mr. Oliver was preceded in death by his parents; by a brother, James Oliver, and by his step-father, Roy Miller. Family visitation is scheduled for this evening from 6 until 8 o'clock at Porter Chapel-Wortham. Surviving are his wife, Catherine Oliver of Wortham; a daughter and son-in-law, April and Butch Kofnovec of Robinson; two granddaughters - Courtney and Catey Kofnovec of Robinson; a brother, Gilbert Oliver of Teague; two sisters, Frances Rogers of Teague and Audrey Young of Melbourne, Florida; his step-mother, Clara B. Posey of Wortham; two sisters, Sue Gregory of Streetman and spring Johnson and husband Tom of Wortham; and a brother and sister-in-law, Rudy and Cynthia Miller of Wortham. Funeral services for Mr. Oliver will be Friday morning at 10 o'clock in Porter Chapel-Wortham. Chaplain Karen Hulsey will officiate. Burial will be in Driver Cemetery (Freestone County). Pallbearers are Darrell Ridge, Clyde Ridge, Roy Lynn Patterson, Waymon Hullum, Mike Goodwin and Jerry Jendel. Designated as honorary pallbearers are TXU employees and Mexia State School warehouse employees.
