E. L. Oliver

Graveside services were held recently in Lubbock for Streetman native E. L. 
Oliver who died May 4 at his home in Lubbock after a lengthy illness.

Mr. Oliver was born in Streetman and lived in Lubbock for the past 12 years, 
moving there from Hart.  He was a retired maintenance supervisor for the Hart
schools.

In 1933, he married Ruby Watson in Coriscana.  He was a member of the Baptist
church.

Services were held at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 6, at Resthaven Memorial Park 
with the Rev. Walter Goodnight, pastor of First Baptist Church of Shallowater
officiating.

Burial was at Resthaven Memorial Park.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Vance of Midland and Robert of Streetman;
a daughter, Virginia Terry of Lubbock; and five grandchildren.
