Kenneth Lee Owens 
(August 17, 1951 - April 3, 2012) 

Funeral Services for Mr. Kenneth Lee Owens were held Thursday, April 5, 2012 at 
3:00 p.m. at Greenwood Cemetery in Teague. Bro. Scott Matthews officiated, and 
memories were shared by Mrs. Mary Sue Smith.

Mr. Owens passed away on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at his home in Teague.

Kenneth was born and raised in Teague and graduated with the Teague High School 
Class of 1969 He earned a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Texas at 
Austin and became a Certified Personal Accountant. Mr. Owens owned and operated 
his own accounting business in Teague for many years.

He is survived by his sister, Carol Hassell & husband, Leslie of Fairfield; 
niece, Wendy Farrell and husband, Justin of Fairfield; two nephews, Eric 
Hassell of Longview and Adam Hassell of Bryan; great niece and nephew, Madelyn 
Gallegos and Carson Gallegos of Fairfield; cousin, CeLinda Brown of Teague; 
special friend, Tony Boudreaux of Teague; and many other loved ones and special 
cousins and extended family and friends. Mr. Owens was preceded in death by his 
parents, Fred and Margie Owens and one brother, Freddie Owens.
