Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Fairfield Recorder August 17, 2007 Geneva (Hurt) Paceley Funeral services were held Wednesday, August 15 in Rockdale for Geneva Paceley, 73, of Milano who died Monday, August 13 at her home. Mrs. Paceley was born August 2, 1934 in Milano. A graduate of Milano High School, she worked for Milano Independent School District for many years, holding various titles including aide, tax assessor-collector, business manager and secretary to the superintendent. She was also the district's scorekeeper; a coach, manager and team mom; and volunteered for many school activities. She bowled for 32 years and was a lifetime member of the Cameron and Rockdale Bowling League. She was a member of the Sandy Creek Church of Christ near Milano. She married Clyde "Pee Wee" Paceley on August 18, 1951 in Milano. He preceded her in death in 1990. Services were conducted at 4 p.m, at Phillips & Lackey Funeral Home, with Mnister Gene VanNoord of Cameron Church of Christ officiating. Burial was at Hurt-Graham Cemetery near Milano. Mrs. Paceley is survived by her sons, James Paceley of Freer, Fred Paceley and wife Cookie of Donie and Jerry Paceley and wife Whitney; Sisters Louise Moore and husband Donald of San Antonio, Dalpha Garrison Milano, Ann Moore and husband Bruce of San Antonio and Margie Lopez and husband Charles of Dew; a brother, George Hurt of Milano; Grandchildren Lizette, Tonja, Dewayne, Erin, Kyrie, Dustin Ashlyn, Kalyn, Tiffany and Raymond; and two great-grandchildren, Jordan and Lavelle.
