OLIVE IRENE PADEN

Graveside services were held last Friday at Union Cemetery near Freestone for 
Olive Irene Paden of Teague who died Jan. 12 at Hillcrest Baptist Medical 
Center in Waco.

Mrs. Paden was born Oct. 20, 1922 in Kansas City, KS to William and Cassie 
Irene Fisher.

She grew up in Fort Scott, KS before moving to California where she lived most 
of her life working as a real estate broker and was a director of sales for 
Mary Kay cosmetics for many years.

During the mid-1980s she moved to Texas and lived in Teague for the past five 
years.

Mrs. Paden had a strong Christian faith and held a special affection for 
children.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers William Frederick Fisher
and Frank Charles Fisher; sister Doris Fisher; and grandson John Edward 
Gonzales.

Mrs. Paden is survived by daughters Diana Carroll of Billings, MT, Nancy 
Carroll and husband Ron of Toronto, Canada; grandson Jeff Gonzales and wife 
Michele of Teague; granddaughters Lisa Pafford and husband Jeff of Bahrain, 
Saudi Arabia, Saysha Cangelose and husband Marty of Houston, and Nicole Hopper
and husband Chris of San Francisco, CA; great-granchildren J.W. Gonzales, Cody
Gonzales, Alex Pafford, Griffin Pafford, and Kate Pafford; niece Vickey 
Boonstra and husband Troy; and other relatives and friends.

At the family’s request, memorials can be made to Eight Avenue Baptist Church, 
201 S. 8th Ave., Teague, TX 75860.

Officiating services was Steve Cowart.

Making arrangements was Bowers Funeral Home of Teague.
