Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Teague Chronicle October 11, 2007 edition LOIS MATILDA JANUARY PARIS Funeral services for Mrs. Lois Matilda January Paris, 95, of Coolidge, Texas, were held on Tuesday, October 9, 2007, at the First Baptist Church of Coolidge. Rev. Larry Holden officiated with interment following at the Coolidge Cemetery. Mrs. Paris was born on September 17, 1912, in Lampasas, Texas, to Benjamin Gideon and Tedie Elizabeth McCormic January and passed away on October 7, 2007, at Manor Nursing Home. Mrs. Paris was a resident of Coolidge for 83 years. She was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church in Coolidge. She is survived by her daughter Joy Johnston of Coolidge, her son Kenneth W. Paris of Coolidge, her grandchildren Wayne Paris of Crockett, Trent Paris of Robinson, Drake Paris of Killeen, Kent Johnston of Crawford, Jana Raymond of Groesbeck, Lori Knight of College Station, Karen Chilcoat of Mexia and Karmen Wilson of Teague; 21 great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren and her sister Dora Harrison of Coolidge. She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth E. Paris in April of 1992. Pallbearers for Mrs. Paris were her grandsons and grandsons-in-law Wayne Paris, Trent Paris, Drake Paris, Kent Johnston, Kirk Raymond, Steve Knight and Dave Chilcoat. Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home of Mexia was in charge of the arrangements.
