Freestone County, Texas Obituaries Fairfield Recorder - August 27, 2009 Elsie Parish Funeral services for Elsie Parish, 81, were held Saturday, August 22, at 11:00 a.m. at Bowers Funeral Home in Teague. Interment was held Saturday at 4:00 p.m.at Boggy Cemetery in Cranfills Gap. Visitation was held Friday with the family present from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Ms. Parish was born in Rush Springs, Oklahoma and moved to Texas in 1934. She worked as a secretary for a property appraisal company in Dallas for many years. She was a member of the Women of the Motion Picture Industry (W.O.M.P.I.) for over fifty years and had served as a Past President and Past International President. She was presently planning a trip with the W.O.M.P.I. to New Orleans this fall. Ms. Parish was a member of the Church of Christ. She is survived by one brother, Carl Parish & wife Gwen of Greenville, brother in-law, Richard Roberts of Cranfills Gap, three nieces, Kim Middleton of Cranfills Gap, Nancy Yvonne McDaniel of North Carolina, and Sharon Kay Helton of Mesquite, six nephews, Billy Joe Parrish of Conroe, Charles Wendell Parrish of Colorado, Ronald Nathan Terrell of Greenville, Donald Wayne Terrell of Converse, and Robert Wayne Parish and David Carl Parish, both of Greenville; Cousins William Ray Day of Teague, Roy Day of Dew, Naomi Ione Moran of Dew, Charles V. Day, Louise Collins, and Paul Kilgore, all of Teague, and numerous other cousins, greatnieces, nephews, and friends. Ms. Parish was preceded in death by her parents, Carl & Naomi Parish, two sisters, Marjorlene Joy Terrell and Nita Sue Roberts, and one brother, Charlie Wayne Parish.
