Mrs. Jackie (Long) Parker

Jackie Parker, 73, of Fairfield, passed away Monday, June 6, 2016 in Fairfield. 

Mrs. Parker was born September 14, 1942 in Freestone County to parents Leonard 
C. and Reba Alford Long.  She was a lifetime area resident and former owner of 
Texas Star Café and Parker Oil.  She was a member of First United Methodist 
Church of Fairfield and active in the Freestone County History Club.  Jackie’s 
love was her three grandchildren who she raised.  In addition to her parents she 
was preceded in death by her husband, Don Lee Parker on January 12, 1973; a 
daughter, Donna Parker Dunn; and a sister, Patsy Jones.

Left to cherish her memory are her grandchildren, Christina Morgan and husband 
Christopher of Ft. Worth; Don Dunn and wife Chestine of Fairfield; Brittany 
Mathison and husband Ross of Teague; a brother Tom Long of Fairfield; a sister, 
Glenda Phillips of Bossier, LA; five great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Mathison, 
Kathryn Morgan, Carson Mathison, Abigail and Madelyn Morgan; a very special niece 
and great-niece, Chancy Sanders and husband David and Samantha Sanders.
