Freestone County, Texas Obits Mexia Daily News - Sept 29, 2006 Kimberly Brooke Parson Funeral services for Kimberly Brooke Parson, 16, of Mexia, will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 30, 2006, in the First Baptist Church of Mexia. The Rev. Aaron Derrich will officiate, with interment to follow in Wortham Cemetery. Visitation with the family is scheduled this evening (Friday) from 5 until 8 o’clock at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Mexia High School Academic Sweater and Scholarship Fund, in memory of Kim. She was born on August 11, 1990, in Waco and passed away on September 27, 2006, in an auto accident on Highway 171. She was a student in Mexia High School and was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Mexia. Survivors are her parents, Bryan Keith and Melanie Kay Barker Parson; Siblings - Krystal Blaze Parson, Brittany Leeanne Parson, Aimee Paige Whitley and Grace Anne Talbot, all of Mexia; Grandparents - Carolyn Barker, and Leland and Pauline Parson, all of Mexia; aunts and uncles - Frank and Kim Barker of Whitehouse, Chris and Christy Parson of Mexia; Cousins - Tyler Barker of Whitehouse, Scott Parson, D’Lorien Parson and Lexi Parson, all of Mexia; and a host of other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Billy Barker, in 2003.
