Fairfield Recorder - March 8, 1895 issue

"Died - Mr. Gus Parson, who has been sick for sometime at Mr. Cockrell's. He 
died on the 25th ult. Mr. Parson leaves a wife to mourn his loss. He also leaves 
many friends who regret his untimely death. He was interred at Stewards Mill. 
"A precious one from us has gone, and a place left vacant that can never be 
filled."
