Freestone County, Texas Obituaries The Mexia Daily News September 12, 2007 Oma Lee Chappell Paul Oma Lee Chappell Paul, 64, of Wortham, passed away September 11, 2007 at Parkview Regional Hospital in Mexia. Graveside services will be Thursday, September 13, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at New Hope Cemetery in Freestone County with Brother Mike Fautt officiating. Family visitation will be Wednesday evening 6-8 p.m. at Porter Chapel Wortham. Oma Lee was born January 17, 1943 in Teague, Texas. Oma Lee was a member of Victory Full Gospel Church. She was retired from Mexia State School after 20 years of employment. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Paul; father, Charles Chappell; mother, Alta Lee Chappell; brothers, Charles Jefferson Chappell and William Ray Chappell and by a sister, Helen Shinault. Oma Lee is survived by her daughter & son-in-law, Rebecca & Larry Shelby of Mexia; son & daughter-in-law, Charles & Lisa Paul of Mexia; grandsons, Jeff Joyner & wife, Colleen of Arlington, Brandon Paul and Rowdy Baker both of Mexia; granddaughter, Jennifer Paul of Mexia; sister & brother-in law, Peggy & Bill Jones of Donie; great grandchildren, Bryanna Joyner, Kaitlyn Joyner and Natalie Joyner all of Arlington; sister-in-law, Pat Jones of The Colony and numerous aunts & uncles. Honorary pallbearers will be David Chappell, Gene Price, Jeff Joyner, Rowdy Baker, James Spencer and Brandon Paul. Donations may be made to the Diabetes Foundation. Porter Chapel Wortham is in charge of arrangements.
