Mary (Thornton) Pelham

Graveside services for Mrs. Mary Lou Pelham, 90, of Waco, will be conducted 
Monday afternoon, October 9, 2006, in Wortham Cemetery. The Rev. Beverly 
Hamilton will officiate. Porter Funeral Home-Mexia is in charge of 
arrangements.

Mrs. Pelham, born on March 30, 1916, in Mexia, died October 4, 2006, in 
Crestview Manor Nursing Home at Waco. She had worked as a Secretary in the 
Insurance business.

Visitation is scheduled for Sunday evening, October 8, 2006, from 6 until 8 
o’clock in Porter Funeral Home.

Mrs. Pelham was preceded in death by her husband, J.K. Pelham; by parents, Joe 
and Rebecca Thornton; by a sister and four brothers.

Surviving are a son, Jerry N. Lewis of Waco; a grandson, Stephen Lewis of 
Houston; a granddaughter, Robin Ullrich of Bulgaria, and seven great-
grandchildren.
