Freestone County, Texas Obituaries The Teague Chronicle May 24, 2007 issue BOBBIE CORINE PENDLETON Graveside services for Mrs. Bobbie Corine Pendleton, 89, of Mexia, Texas, were held on Thursday, May 17, 2007, at Mexia Cemetery. Rev. Brad Brittain, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiated. Mrs. Pendleton was born on October 22, 1917, in Durant, Oklahoma to Robert W. and Susan Keith Scott and passed away at Parkview Regional Hospital on May 14, 2007. She had lived in Mexia since 1937, was a homemaker and worked at Mexia State School as head of the clothing department for 20 years. She was a longtime active member of the First United Methodist Church and teacher of the Dorcas Sunday School Class. She was also a member of the LaBelle Maison Interior Decorating Club, active in Girl Scouts and a worker in the PTA. She was a wonderful wife and mother and always had a positive attitude. Mrs. Pendleton was preceded in death by her husband Hugh H. Pendleton in 1986, her parents, her brother and four sisters. She is survived by her daughter Ann Pendleton of Mexia and her two sisters Betty Sue Stephens of Clayton, Oklahoma and Aline Conn of Jackson, Mississippi, numerous nieces and nephews. Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home of Mexia was in charge of the arrangements.
