Jewel Marie (Johnson) Perkins

Jewel Marie (Johnson) Perkins, 73, of Corsicana passed away Sunday, May 2,
2004, at Heritage Oaks Retirement Village in Corsicana after a courageous
battle with cancer.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Corley Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Elmo Cemetery with Brother
Bill Honea officiating.

Mrs. Perkins was born June 23, 1930, in Winkler.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Zula Johnson; brothers,
Leroy "Hoss" Johnson and Other Johnson; and sister, Ruby Minze.

Survivors include her husband, Joe Perkins of Corbet; daughter and son-in-law,
Nancy and Richard Buttersby of Canada; sons, Danny Cooper of California and
Bill Cooper of Seattle, Wash.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Peggy Coley and Lee
Toms of Corsicana and Jettie and Bobby Bell of Corbet; four grandsons, several
great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
