Funeral Services Held Thursday For Jake Petty

   Graveside services were held Thursday, March 31, 4 p.m. at Driver Cemetery 
for Jake Petty, 51, of Littlefield, Texas, former resident of Teague.
   Mr. Petty died Monday, March 28, in a Lubbock Hospital as the result of 
injuries received in an automobile accident March 20, never regaining 
consiousness.
   He was born in 1908 in Marquez, Texas.  He had lived in Teague most of his 
life, leaving 12 years ago to make his home in Littlefield, Texas.  He was 
employed at a gin.  He was affiliated with the Smyer Baptist Church, Smyer, 
Texas.
   Officiating at the graveside here was Rev. R. V. Silvertooth.  Burial was in 
Driver Cemetery
