Freestone County, Texas Obituaries CORPUS CHRISTI CALLER TIMES June 27, 2007 issue Nola Sue Radke Pfeil was granted her angel wings on June 24, 2007 after a short but courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born January 27, 1944 in Teague, Texas. Nola graduated from Miller High School, Corpus Christi, Texas in 1962. She attended Southwest Texas State University where as a member of the Strutters drill team she met her husband in 1963. Nola graduated from Texas A&I University with a bachelors degree in education to which she dedicated her life, eventually retiring in 2002. She taught for 17 years at Tuloso-Midway Elementary and 13 years at Stephen F. Austin Elementary for G.P.I.S.D. Nola was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nolan Otto Radke and Mildred Lenora Radke. She is survived by her husband of 13 years, Stanley Pfeil; a sister, Carole (Pat) Hawkins of Corpus Christi, Texas; a brother, Ken Radke of Los Angeles, California; two sons, Greg (Belinda) Pfeil of Portland, Texas and Jeremy Pfeil of Kingwood, Texas; three grandchildren, Morgan Pfeil of Kingwood, Texas, Garrett Pfeil of Corpus Christi, Texas and Ryan Pfeil of Portland, Texas. The family would like to thank the nurses at Spohn Shoreline; especially, Dana Higgs, Tish Ruiz, Erika DeLa Garza, Misty Mostella, Connie, Belinda, Pete, Effie and James. Her life will be celebrated with a memorial service at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, June 28, 2007 at the First United Methodist Church, 4545 Wildcat Dr. Portland, Texas.
