Ralph A. Phillips 

March 19, 1913 - Oct. 25, 2004 


Ralph A. Phillips of Jamestown died Monday at a Sonora hospital. He was 91. 

He was born in Teague, Texas, and had lived in Jamestown for two years. He 
worked as a park ranger at Sly Park in Placerville for 20 years. 

He served in the U.S. Army from 1941-45. He was a member of the Seventh-day 
Adventist Church in Angels Camp. 

His family said he loved flying and horses. 

Mr. Phillips is survived by his wife of 68 years, Hazel Phillips of Jamestown; 
a son and daughter-in-law, Ralph W. and Nena Phillips of Sonora; three 
grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. 

At his request, there will be no services. Cremation is scheduled.
